Keynote Speaker: Merilyn Lauffer, missionary to Israel from 1988-2004,
was raised in Merritt Island, FL. The consistent missions emphasis of the
Alliance church as well as her attendance at Lake Swan Camp, played a
significant spiritual role in her life that encouraged and strengthened her
resolve to follow the Lord wherever He may take her. Merilyn graduated from
Toccoa Falls College, where she met her husband David. After the years of
ministry in Israel, David and Merilyn served as pastor and wife of the Alliance
church in Saline, MI for several years. During this ministry she said, "I
continue to find real joy in introducing people to the living God and being
'Jesus'." In March of 2007, David, Merilyn, and family moved to Colorado
Springs, CO where David serves as the Assistant to Bob Fetherlin, Vice
President for International Ministries of the C&MA and Merilyn works part time
for The Orchard Foundation. Merilyn has been used by
God to minister to women at retreats, rallies, and various
church related functions. The Lauffers have four children
and one daughter-in-law.
